If you build systems or ever purchase bare OEM desktop drives (3.5" hard drives or optical drives) that come without cables, sooner or later you WILL need SATA cables for them, and this is a great deal. Meritline has single 18" SATA data cables on sale for $1.49 each shipped, but if you buy in quantity the price falls dramatically ($1.79 for two, $3.99 for four, $7.99 for ten). Sweet spots are twos and tens (2 packs of two each is $3.58, 41 less than the four pack), in sets of two they are 90 each shipped and in sets of ten they fall to 80 each. If you need less than ten order multiples of the two packs. One straight connector to one right angle connector, both with metal latches, 18 inches {45cm} which is probably a tad short for optical drives but more than enough for most hard drives in standard configs. These run $5 up in any B&M store you can find them in, at under a buck apiece grab some for the bench or tool box. +Tax in California I think.
