Hold up on the RED for just one second.
I realize these prices have been around for a while (a year? two?) and that normally a HOT DEAL on these are in the $30 neighborhood. HOWEVER, It was announced today that starting Nov 1, Microsoft is increasing prices on these 12 month subscriptions by $10 (Announcment from Major Nelson). 1 Year increases to $59.99, 3 months to $24.99, and 1 month rises to $9.99.
This is speculation, but that probably means that all these retailers will be raising prices in the coming months. I searched around and these $40 price is the lowest I can find right now and it may be a good idea to stock up now.
Remember, you can stack up to 3yrs worth on a single xbox live account.
